A Big Fat ASOS Beauty Haul!

Hey guys!

I know I know, it's been a while, but university is back and I am feeling better than ever! So obviously in the true spirit of leaving the house yet again, I am coming to you guys with a slightly overpriced, definitely anticipated ASOS beauty haul!

I definitely went a bit OTT on ASOS's website the other day and my bank account has taken a hit but we move. It's fine... Anyway, I thought I'd split these blogs into two different ones, one for beauty and one for clothing since I know clothes are some people's thing more than others and I know some of you definitely do not care about what goes on my eyebrows. But here it is!

MAC Studio Fluid Fix Foundation £27

This is a re-purchase of a beloved favourite of mine. I've been using this foundation for literally years, not always in this colour (I actually started off with NC15) and now I match my make-up to my fake tan, since that's the colour I usually am and it just allows for a better blend with fewer issues when trying to match my skintone, I've had a whole journey with that itself! It has one of the most buildable coverages I've seen and after trying out foundations from Estee Lauder, Too Faced and Urban Decay, this is always the one I have found myself gravitating back to, this is my home in foundation.

Mini NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer £13

I haven't tried this product before, and I usually stick to the Tarte Shape Tape (a found favourite during my holiday in America) or the MAC concealer, so I thought I best buy the mini form before I commit to the £24 full-sized version. It's better to dip your toe in the water than dive in head first. I bought the shade Marron Glace, which is just lighter than my MAC foundation. So far it's been perfectly fine, but nothing can match the coverage that Tarte Shape Tape offers and I think that was why it was such a game-changer in the make-up industry in 2017-2018, along with the release of the James Charles X Morphe Palette.

MAC Fix + Prep and Prime £22

This is another re-purchase of another favourite of mine. I first bought this product in Manchester Airport before I headed to Florida and honestly this product I swear is the reason my make-up stayed on in the heat. I've bought this product twice since then (I always go a tad overboard with setting and prepping my face if I want my make-up to last) and genuinely I think this is a staple in my make-up routine. I do find that it's a competitor for the Urban Decay Allnighter Setting Spray, which I have also re-purchased several times and plan on buying again.

NARS Bronzing Powder £31

This is a new purchase of mine and a new try. I originally chose between this in Laguna and the Anastasia Beverley Hills Bronzer in Rosewood and I decided to try the ABH one first. But since I didn't think too much of that one, I thought this one might have a bit more umph to it, especially since it's raved about by my favourite make-up and style queen Mrs Jamie Genevieve. Since everything she's recommended I've loved, I figured I may as well bite the bullet and buy it for myself! I am yet to use this one, but if it is anything like my MAC Contouring Palette, I'll have no complaints at all.

BENEFIT Precisely, My Brow Pencil Duo £22.50

This is a re-purchase of mine, I originally got the whole new brow line from BENEFIT in a set from Boots (I mean every new product wow) and these along with the Gimme Brow Brow Gel are going to be constant buys of mine. I do go and get my eyebrows extreme tinted, threaded and waxed about once a month, but I can make them last longer since when the tint starts to fade I top it up with these products, the concealer allows me to cut the shape of my brows too. I use the shade 4 Dark Brown since that is the closest match to the tint I get and it gives me a more defined brow.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter £30

This is another re-purchase, but a full-size purchase this time! I actually bought a set of four mini BECCA Highlighters when I was in Florida just so I could get a feel for which ones would go best with my skin colour and I found that Opal and Vanilla Quartz went best, so I decided to go ahead and order Opal since my foundation shade has changed and it was the deeper of the two. But these are genuinely some of the most beautiful highlighters I've seen. Until now, I have been using MAC Oh, Darling highlighter but I needed a serious upgrade because it is actually out of date (ew but I'm just vibin with it). It works just as well as when I got it but hygiene more than likely said otherwise.

That's everything that I ordered make-up wise from ASOS this past week! I know I know, there's better things to spend my money on than make-up but let's be honest, did we expect anything else from me? Clothing wise I actually went quite out of my comfort zone and I do think I've actually discovered something that is the closest to my style I'm going to get right now, which I'm pretty happy about, so that haul will be coming soon!

I'm actually heading back to university for my second year studying Public Relations & Digital Comms and I decided that I wanted to start focussing a lot more on my studies and where I want to be with my social media and my eventual career, so I thought I'd start documenting my experience (if you can even call it that???) on my social media a lot more often. I need to sort of grow my confidence with video editing and I've gained such a supportive platform these past couple of months, so I think I'm finally in the place where I know what I want to do and where I want to be this time next year.

Hopefully, you guys will be on the journey with me.
